How to get Pregnant Faster?

Sep 21, 2022

Consult for a Pre-Pregnancy Checkup

Before trying to conceive, see a Gynecologist for advice on taking prenatal vitamins and folic acid supplements. Intake of folic acid supplements helps the baby protect from birth defects. Therefore, is especially important that you take enough folic acid during pre-pregnancy.

If you have health problems, discuss them with your doctor so that you can get them under control before you become pregnant safely.

Know Your Menstrual Cycle

A true understanding of the knowledge of the menstrual cycle increases the likelihood of getting pregnant faster.

Are you trying to get pregnant? Ovulation is the best time to focus on having sex with your partner and getting pregnant.

A normal menstrual cycle lasts about 28 to 32 days, and ovulation occurs on the 14th day of the cycle. For some women, it may happen between the 10th and 16th days of the cycle where the ovulated egg lasts only 12 to 48 hours. You could notice some changes occur in your body during ovulation, that support a pregnancy.

Why is it essential to track ovulation?

An ovulation tracker helps you track when an egg is released from your ovaries and determine when you have the best chance of getting pregnant, or when you should avoid sex. It's just as important to keep track of this data if you have health problems related to your menstrual cycle, as it can be helpful to know what's happening during your cycle.

Signs of ovulation

Every woman may find different signs of ovulation depending on her health. However, these are the significant signs of ovulation that are recognizable easily

  • Discharge of cervical mucus
  • Increased sex desire
  • Mild pain in the abdomen
  • May feel changes in the cervix
  • Increase in body temperature slightly
  • Breasts tenderness

Sex Positions to Get Pregnant

When trying to get pregnant, it is best to limit the amount of sperm that flows back from the vagina. The woman's hips should be positioned so that the released sperm are held in the vagina and have enough time to swim to the female cervix.

These are the positions to consider for getting pregnant:

  • The missionary or man-on-top position
  • Rising the hips position
  • Doggy style or the position where the man comes from behind
  • Side-by-side position

Stay in bed right after intercourse

You can stay in bed for a couple of more minutes after sexual intercourse. Ensure that you do not urinate for some more time because the sperm that is supposed to enter the cervix is in the cervix. Therefore, after having sex, you may lie down in bed with your feet raised or your hips placed above the pillows to increase your chances of getting pregnant.

Have Sex at Right Time

If you are trying to get pregnant, you need to have frequent sexual intercourse. On the other hand, you should be aware that too much of a good thing can backfire

Experts say having sex once a day at the right time of your menstrual cycle is the best way to conceive quickly. Make sure you have intercourse on alternate days during your fertile window. You can know about your fertile window from the ovulation tracker. If you keep having intercourse, again and again, your partner's sperm count may decrease, and in other cases, if you do not have enough intercourse, the sperm may get old and stop swimming at high speed.

Impact of Body Weight

Improving the health of you and your partner contributes to producing strong and fertilizable sperm, which increases the chance of pregnancy and leads to a healthy pregnancy.

If your partner is obese, this may impact the reproductive potential and reduces sperm quality and viability, which affects a couple's ability to become pregnant.

Similarly, a woman's weight can impact her chances of conceiving. Being overweight or underweight may reduce the possibility. According to experts, it can take twice as long for an overweight woman to conceive as it does for a woman of normal weight. An underweight woman can take even four times longer to get pregnant.

A woman who has more body fat produces too much estrogen levels, which results in working against her when trying to ovulate. An overweight woman may face more risk for complications such as

  • Preeclampsia - a condition that occurs from hyper blood pressure
  • Diabetic Gestation
  • Miscarriage
  • Need for a cesarean delivery

In addition, being overweight during pregnancy may cause difficulties for you and your baby. Therefore, experts advise reducing weight to a normal level before pregnancy, which is good and safe for you and your baby.

In other cases, underweight women (BMI below 18) may have menstrual problems related to irregular periods, which may affect ovulation and the ability to become pregnant.

Aim for a Healthy Life

Eating healthy foods helps prepare a woman's body for a healthy pregnancy. Intake of an adequate amount of rich nutrient foods such as calcium, iron, zinc, and protein. You can maintain a balanced diet chart containing a variety of fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean protein, dairy, and healthy high-fat foods.

You can also consult a doctor for advice on whether you should take folic acid, which is required for pre-pregnancy. A balanced diet with all the nutrients nourishes your health and prepares you for a quick natural pregnancy and this will also ensure the proper development of your baby.

Regular physical activity helps the body to withstand the challenges of pregnancy and safe delivery.

To improve your fertility level, you should quit the following habits:

Experts say that there is no guaranteed way to conceive quickly, but if you understand the above information and follow the tips, you can get pregnant faster.
